Ready to learn how to make chocolate chip cookies with me?
I got inspired in making this cookie recipe because it’s Christmas! It is a good excuse to indulge in a limitless taste test while making it, hahaha. I used bittersweet chocolate chips, but you can use any chocolate chips that you want. I love the chewy and soft texture on the inside with you break it in half. However, do not over bake as it can get hard. I think making this cookie recipe with our without mix-ins will both turn out amazingly delicious! Come, join, and bake with me!

- 10 oz chopped walnuts or broken into pieces
- 10 oz bittersweet chocolate chips
Cookie Dough
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar (adjust to your liking)
- ½ cup granulated sugar (adjust to your liking)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
Item’s you’ll need
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar (adjust to your liking)
- ½ cup granulated sugar (adjust to your liking)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Crush the walnuts (Optional)
Place walnuts in a zip lock. Using a meat tenderizer or any heavy object, strike the walnuts against the chopping board to break them into small pieces. You may also use a knife to chop it. Set aside for later.
Mix the ingredients
To make the cookie dough, mix the dry ingredients (flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, and baking soda) in a large bowl until well incorporated. Then set aside. In a separate bowl (or a stand mixer bowl), place the softened unsalted butter at a medium-low speed. Cream until well combined. Pour the eggs with the vanilla extract in it and continue to mix until well incorporated. Gradually add the flour mixture little by little until the bowl becomes empty. Increase the speed as necessary (I increased the speed to medium-high). Using a spatula, push the mixture to the center as needed until well combined.
Place the cookie dough
Using a 1 ½ tbsp ice cream scoop, scoop a spoon of the cookie dough and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat the process until the cookie dough is consumed. Refrigerate for 10-20 minutes.
Cook
While in the refrigerator, begin to preheat the oven at 375°F/190°C. After 10-20 minutes, place the cookie dough in the oven and bake them for 10 minutes at 375°F/190°C. Immediately remove from the oven after 10minutes and let it cool for 15-20 minutes. Serve warm and Enjoy!
